Activities This Annual Harvest Event showcases the George Jr and Sarah Morgan House c 1765 and our four other historic buildings. Tours of the buildings will be available as well as a number of presentations. The 12th NJ Volunteer Infantry Co. will be encamped, demonstrating their muskets and equipment from the Revolutionary War, Beck's Civil War Band will play, as will Mark Carroll, a Harpist specializing in music from the colonial era. A Harriet Tubman enactor will present and visitors can observe candle-making, spinning, weaving, and blacksmithing trades, as well as open-hearth cooking in the Olde Stone House. There will be hayrides and pumpkin painting for the children and a talk on the history of Railroading in South Jersey. A list of events can be found on our website oldestonehousehistoricvillage.org. There is no charge for the event, but donations are requested. The event is sponsored by the Washington Twp Historic Preservation Commission and funding is in part from the NJ Historical Commission and the Gloucester County Cultural & Heritage Commission.
